Chairman of the National Carnival Commission Winston "Gypsy" Peters admits that while the NCC receives millions of dollars from the government for carnival activities, those events don't make a profit.
As a result, Peters says the NCC is always spending more money than it makes.
And his hope is for that to change.
And the finance minister says the increase in online shopping has resulted in over one billion US dollars being used to settle credit card foreign transactions.
