The cost of shipping goods from the Far East has dropped by over 60 percent and by 25 percent for some goods coming from the United States.
This as shipping lines have been cutting their freight rates since August 2015 due to a number of factors, including the drop in oil prices.
So why hasn't this reduction in rates been reflected in lower prices here at home?
