Young: Protest justifies need for anti-gang legislation

The government says yesterday's unrest in east Port of Spain justifies the need for anti-gang legislation. 

Today, minister in the office of the prime minister Stuart Young again criticised the opposition for failing to support the crime-fighting bill. 

Young was asked by Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate Wade Mark whether government and law enforcement had assessed the root cause of yesterday's protests when he linked it to gang activity.
