‘Pappy’ Appears in Court for Murder

A Cocorite man appeared before Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Caddle.
The murder of Shaquime Williams, which occurred on Sunday 15th April 2018. 
27-year-old Nester Sammy, aka “Pappy of Harding Place, Cocorite, appeared in the Port of Spain 8th Magistrates’ Court, today, to answer to the charge. 
The matter was adjourned to Friday 14th September 2018. 
23-year-old Williams also of Harding Place, Cocorite, was found dead with bullet wounds about the body in the vicinity of the Harding Place recreation ground. 
Sammy was arrested on Saturday 28th August 2018 and charged by Cpl. Wayne Mohammed, of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, (HBI) Region 1, on Friday 3rd August 2018, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Thursday 2nd August 2018.
