Alleged 'Unruly ISIS' member among three shot dead

37-year-old man who is alleged to have been a member of the 'Unruly ISIS' gang in Enterprise, has been shot dead in Santa Cruz.

Winston John of Crown Trace, Enterprise was at the home of a close female relative in Santa Cruz when he heard a knocking on the door around 2 am.

Upon inquiring, he was accosted by two men who allegedly identified themselves as police officers.

Gunshots were heard and upon investigating John was seen lying in a pool of blood.

Police were called and John was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile a 27-year-old man from Marcano Quarry, Laventille has been shot and killed.

Around 4 am, residents heard several loud explosions.

The police were called in and officers of the Inter-agency Task Force responded.

When they arrived at the scene they discovered the bullet-riddled body of Campbell lying in a pool of blood.

Several spent 9 mm spent shells were found lying next to the body.

Investigations are ongoing.

And a shooting incident mere metres away from the new Besson Street Police Station has claimed the life of one man.

The incident occurred just after 9pm on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that gunmen ambushed a group of people and opened fire.

Three people were hit in the fracas including one man who died on the scene.

The two other people were taken to hospital and are both said to be in critical conditions.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Ricardo John.
