Another escapee recaptured

A sixth escaped prisoner has been recaptured.

Atiba Sealy, one of the 8 prisoners who escaped from the Golden Grove prison sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday night, was captured in Las Lomas Thursday morning.

Prisons Commissioner Gerard Wilson confirmed the recapture to Guardian Media.

This follows the recapture of  Mikhale Mohammed, Steffon Austin, Joshua Janet, Brent Johnson and Kerry Valentino on Wednesday.

It means that only Olatungi Denbow and Michael Findley are still at large.

The men were discovered missing at 8.40 am Wednesday.

Sources say there is ongoing construction at the Remand Yard in which new toilets are being installed in cells.

The men, who were all in the same cell, were facing charges ranging from murder to gun-related offenses.

They were considered armed and dangerous.

Members of the public had been asked to circulate the photos provided and to contact the nearest police station if they saw the escapees, or had any information that could lead to their recapture.
