The Industrial Court has ruled in favor of 480 Arcelor Mittal workers who were sent home by the company from December last year to January this year.
President of the Steel Workers Union, Christopher Henry says the court ruled that salaries which had not been paid to the workers must be disbursed to them.
It also ruled that the vacation which the workers were forced to take must be returned to them.
Mr Henry says the judgement will go a long way in sending a message to Arcelor Mittal and other companies who took or are planning to take similar action against workers.
