Police are investigating the drowning death of a baby girl in Chaguanas.
One and a half years old, Sephra Sankar drowned in a pool owned by the family.
Sephra’s father Ricky Sanker said he left the family's Solomon Drive home to pick up his 5-year-old son when he got a call from the child's mother Freeda Cruickshank inquiring about the child’s whereabouts.
He say when he arrived home he saw his neighbour trying to revive the child.
The family believes she wandered off from the family’s home and fell into the swimming pool.
The child was rushed to the Chaguanas District Healthy Facility but pronounced dead on arrival.
