Thursday, September 13, 2018 - 17:45

The preliminary inquiry into the wounding of Trinidadian soca artiste, Rodney LeBlanc, known as Benjai, continued in the Georgetown Magistrates Court earlier.

On Friday, the court will revisit the location to conduct a re-enactment of what occurred outside city night spot, Palm Court.

Twenty-seven-year-old, Maverick De Abreu, was charged for the matter back in September 2017 and was placed on $50,000 bail.

On April 16, 2017, it is alleged that he unlawfully and maliciously wounded LeBlanc.

He is accused of hitting Le Blanc to the face with a glass bottle, causing him to suffer severe injuries.

The incident occurred just after the artiste had finished performing at the night spot.
