Soca artiste Rodney Le Blanc. also known as "Benjai', is demanding swift justice from Guyanese police, after he was assaulted in Guyana last month.
However, the police there want to know if Benjai had fallen out with his attackers in the past.
Benjai, through his attorneys, wrote to the Guyanese DPP and police commissioner saying that since the incident on April 17th, Benjai furnished the police with the identities of two men who allegedly assaulted him after a performance at a Guyanese nightclub.
His attorneys told the DPP that the police has not acted on it, arresting only one of them.
However, the Guyanese police commissioner says the investigation is active and ongoing.
The commissioner says several people have been questioned and while one man has been arrested, they are searching for another man who Benjai named as an attacker.
The commissioner said no charges have been laid against the one man in custody.
He said, however, that they are asking Benjai to to provide a detailed statement on whether he was involved in any altercation with the men before the date in question.
