Business: 3 Addy golds, 17 silvers for Lonsdale Saatchi and Saatchi

Lonsdale Saatchi and Saatchi has copped a total of three Gold and 17 Silver Addy Awards at the 2019 Caribbean Advertising Federation Addy Awards with its Toyota Hilux Launch winning one of the largest categories in the competition – Best of Online and Social.

The judges from the Caribbean Advertising Federation which accepts entries from across the region said the campaign was “a strong concept, very well produced. The language and visuals played well together. Good creative, well executed.”

“It was no easy feat. Our mantra has always been to make our clients ‘raving fans’. We try to give our clients the best possible marketing and advertising strategies,” Lonsdale’s Executive Chairman Kenrick Attale said of the results.

Creative Director Sophie Charles-Barber expressed how proud she is to lead such a team of talented, exceptional and dedicated creative minds, and the range of awards won demonstrates Lonsdale’s multifaceted capabilities and consistent approach to developing award-winning work that produces results, while Content Director Tuere Kareem said the achievements are a testament of the newly restructured organization under new creative leadership which now has a robust Content Creation Department, along with the strategic approach to entering the award categories.

The Caribbean Advertising Federation has member agencies throughout the Caribbean Region and is the first and only non-American member of the American Advertising Federation who stage the ADDY Awards annually.

The ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition by the number of entries.

In three of the categories, Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi won Gold for its design, portrayal and depiction of the following: 

Category – Desktop Calendar – Caribbean Airlines
Category – Augmented Reality – Lucozade Carnival Package
Category – Internet Commercial – Hilux Launch

The Agency also won a total of 17 Silver Awards across a wide cross-section of categories, such as print, television, radio, publications and digital media for entities such as Unit Trust Corporation, Angostura, Caribbean Airlines and Universal Foods among others.
