Chase Village man charged with possession of Glock 22 pistol

A 33-year-old Chase Village man, will appear before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with possession of a Glock 22 pistol along with two magazines containing a total of 26 rounds of .40mm ammunition.

Clevon Francis was arrested and later charged following anticrime exercises carried out by officers of the Northern Division Area Central Task Force, in the Charlieville area, on Friday 5th May, 2017.

The accused of Orange Field Road, Chase Village, was arrested along Pierre Road, Charlieville, around 11:30 pm.

The same party of officers then conducted another exercise in Bon Air West, between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday 7th May, 2017, and following a search of a bushy area along Muscles Street, in the
vicinity of the community centre, a Glock 23 pistol, with 13 rounds of .40mm ammunition were found.

No arrests were made in connection with the find.
