The Single Fathers' Association is claiming victory following a court order that the children of a Trinidadian mother and Australian father be returned to Australia.

This follows a claim from the father that the children were removed from him and taken back to Trinidad and Tobago without his approval.

A statement from the Single Fathers' Association claims that Adam Lacey's children have been returned to Australia as he was awarded a return order that the mother of his children was made to comply with on the 16th of  November 2015.

Lacey says that the children and mother have returned to Australia and they had their first custody hearing yesterday.

The Single Father's Association says it is now hopeful that justice will prevail at the Australian Courts, claiming that "this man has gone through a tough ordeal".

The Association is also congratulating CNC3 for highlighting the fathers' plight.

The Association says that Lacey is  just one of the many cases that have been brought to it and adds that it will continue to support "those left behind dads throughout the world who have been fighting daily to be a part of their childrens' lives".
