A female announcer at Slam 100.5FM is resting at home, following at attack on her at a club on Ariapita Avenue, Monday night.

J Angel, who is also a soca artiste, was at the Elixir nightclub on Monday night, when the incident happened.

She told CNC3 that she had accompanied a friend who had gone to do business at the establishment and during which time she sat down on the nearest available chair.

She said soon after, a Spanish-speaking woman who was dancing with a man in the club, approached her and started speaking in Spanish.

J'Angel said she could not interpret what the woman was saying and that the woman eventually walked off.

She said not long after, she felt someone tug at her and was hit in her forehead with a bottle.

J'Angel then reacted by shoving the woman and small fight ensued, following which she was taken to hospital, bleeding from her head.

She was later discharged.

J'Angel says reports circulating online that she got into a fight after drinking excessively, are not true.
