Four men have been held for the robbery of Roman Catholic priest Father Clyde Harvey.
They are expected to be charged as soon as this evening or tomorrow for the attack at a church in Gonzales, Belmont.
One of the men was held yesterday, while three others were arrested around 3 o’clock this morning, all in the Laventille area.
Officers of the Besson Street Police Station led by ASP Ajith Persad recovered Father Harvey's watch but could not find the $1000 taken from him.
On Monday, Father Harvey was praying at the St. Martin’s RC Church when a group of young men entered the building, robbed him and tied him up.
Investigating officers say there is no doubt that charges will be laid, including robbery with violence and false imprisonment.
Once the charges are laid, they will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate on Tuesday morning.
The men are said to be between the ages of 18 and 27-years-old.
