A Fyzabad man has appeared before a San Fernando magistrate today in connection with the shooting of Scotiabank employee, Rostan Mahabir, almost two weeks ago.
CNC3 news understands the 32-year-old man was detained by police officers at his Fyzabad home last week Friday following an investigation.
On May, 14th 28-year-old Mahabir, a premiere relationship officer, was just about to enter the bank at the corner of penitence and high streets, San Fernando, when he was approached by a man who grabbed his computer bag and other items.
Mahabir held on to his bag and was shot once in the abdomen.
He as taken to the San Fernando general hospital where he received emergency treatment.
