Trinidad and Tobago will continue to experience intermittent periods of rainfall and isolated thunderstorms for the rest of the afternoon, as scattered showers from a tropical wave moves across the southeastern Caribbean Sea today.
Persons are encouraged to take precautionary measures in their immediate environs to reduce the impact of flooding.
Motorists are also advised to exercise extreme caution, to be particularly courteous to other drivers and to avoid flooded areas as it is difficult to know the condition of a road if it is covered by water. Never assume that the road is intact, as it could be compromised.
At this time the Trinidad and Tobago Met Service has cancelled the adverse weather alert as the most intense activity has passed however cloudy skies and showers will persist overnight
