KPMG Trinidad has been selected to assist the Police Service Commission in the process of selecting a Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The process is expected to take four months.
The Police Service Commission on Friday issued a statement on the new development.
"The Police Service Commission moved a step closer in its task to recruit and select a Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and awarded a contract to KPMG Trinidad and Tobago to assist with the recruitment and selection process.
On Thursday 20 July 2017, a meeting took place at the Commission’s offices which brought together representatives from the Police Service Commission and KPMG Trinidad and Tobago to discuss implementation of the project.
The recruitment phase of the project is expected to take four (4) months to complete with the firm providing support to the Commission in designing and managing the advertising, application and assessment processes so as to ensure that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has the leadership it requires to meet the needs of the organization and to satisfy the requirements of safety and security for all of Trinidad and Tobago now and into the future."
