Las Lomas woman charged with murder of common-law husband

A Las Lomas woman has appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate, charged with the murder of her common-law husband, Dexter Hospedales, which occurred on Wednesday 21st March, 2018.

April-Ann Mohan, 27, of Boy Cato Road, Las Lomas, appeared before Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor at the Chaguanas 1st Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 18th April, 2018.

The matter has been adjourned to Tuesday 15th May, 2018 Mr. Hospedales, 34, of the same address, got into a physical altercation with a female relative that resulted in the victim being stabbed.

The victim was then taken to the St. Helena Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations were supervised by Insp. (Ag.) Allister Jones, of Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 3. Mohan was charged by WPC Ola Prince, of the HBI Region 3, on Tuesday 17th April, 2018, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on the same day.
