Soca superstar Machel Montano is the latest artiste to show support for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), by donating 40 tickets for his premier event, Machel Monday, to its ‘I Support Our Service’ (ISOS) initiative.
During a brief meeting with Commissioner of Police (CoP) Gary Griffith, at the CoP’s office, at the Police Administration Building today, Montano shared his excitement to see the various innovative ways the TTPS has chosen to address crime in the country.
Montano handed over 20 platinum and 20 general tickets to his event to the commissioner, which will be distributed to law-abiding citizens during roadblocks by officers across the country, as part of the ISOS’ “Caught in the Act” campaign.
The ‘Caught in the Act’ campaign seeks to reward citizens for adhering to proper road safety practices.
Thus far, several persons across the country have already received Movie Towne tickets from officers during roadblocks.
The soca star also expressed pleasure to see the police continue their good work in reducing and detecting crime in Trinidad and Tobago, conveying his full support for the officers of the TTPS and CoP.
