Matura man and teenager charged with Shop Breaking and Larceny

Mickyle Daniel a 20-year-old man from High Street Matura and a 15-year-old boy is expected to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate today, jointly charged with shop breaking and larceny of a mini-mart in Matura 

According to police reports, Daniel and the teenager were arrested on August 18th after being caught in the act of stealing several items from a mini-mart located at 10 ¾ Mile Mark, Toco Main Road, Matura.

 Officers of the Matura Police Station received an anonymous call around 2:46 am, that loud noises were heard at a mini-mart.

Officers on mobile patrol in the area were alerted to the report and they arrived at the scene within minutes.

 The building was immediately surrounded and the officers called on those inside to exit. 

A short time after, two suspects emerged carrying backpacks containing several stolen items, totalling $1,400. 

Daniel and the teenager were charged with the offences by PC Phillip of the Matura Police Station, on August 19th.
