PM sends condolences to British people over terror attack

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has offered condolences to the people of Great Britain in light of the terrorist attack in Westminster on Wednesday.

A statement from his office says a letter was dispatched to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Theresa May, from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley yesterday, Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.

In the letter, Prime Minister Rowley extended sincere condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago for the tragic loss of life following the attack on Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.
The statement said Prime Minister Rowley "denounced the horrific attack and expressed solidarity with the international community in condemning all such acts and offered thoughts and prayers to the families and loved ones of the victims".

Five people died in the attack, including the attacker.
