Point Fortin man charged with kidnap of 22-year-old woman

A Point Fortin man is set to appear before a Point Fortin Magistrate today, charged with the kidnapping of a 22-year-old woman, which occurred on Tuesday 15th May, 2018.

Emmanuel Carrington, 20, a woodworker, of Reservoir Hill, Point Fortin, was arrested by officers of the Point Fortin Criminal Investigations Department (CID) following investigations, on Friday 18th May, 2018.

The victim, was alone at her Chatham Village home, when three unarmed men entered the house and forced her into a black motor vehicle and took her to a house along Reservoir Hill.

Shortly after the men fled the house and she was found by a friend. The woman subsequently made a report to the Point Fortin Police Station, which led to an investigation being supervised by Sgt. Ryan Ramsingh.

Carrington was later charged by PC Keenan Sheppard, of the Point Fortin CID, on Saturday 19th May, 2018.
