Police find gun, drugs, camouflage outfit in Point Fortin

One revolver, a quantity of marijuana and two pieces of camouflage clothing, were found by police during anti-crime exercises in the South Western Division.

Police say officers of Point Fortin CID, South Western Division Task Force and Canine Unit, conducted the exercises, coordinated by Snr Supt (Ag.), Inraj Balram, between 12 noon and 6pm on Wednesday 12th April, 2017.

The officers, acting on information went to an empty lot of land at Gun Hill, Cap de Ville, where they found 6.7 grammes of marijuana. Officers thereafter went to Salazar Street, Mora Village, where they carried out a search of another empty plot of land and found one revolver, containing one live round and four spent shells, along with two pieces of camouflage clothing.

No arrests were made in connection with the finds.
