Police point to law against use of fireworks

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is reminding members of the public that the use of fireworks in cities, boroughs and streets outside of the city areas is against the law.

The TTPS is asking persons to be mindful of this during Divali celebrations.

Public Information Officer Michael Jackman is cautioning citizens to act responsibly.

ASP Jackman is also reminding vendors that police officers are authorized to inspect stocks, storage areas and their books.

The TTPS is also reminding vendors that they must be in possession of a licence in order to conduct sale of fireworks.
