Police recover stolen vehicles in airport staff carpark

Three vehicles which were reported stolen, are recovered by officers of the Northern Division Special Investigations Unit (NDSIU), during a stolen vehicle recovery exercise, which was conducted in the Piarco and San Juan districts.

The exercise, spearheaded by Insp. Roger Joseph, was conducted between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, on Tuesday 14th August, 2018, during which the officers proceeded to the Piarco Airport staff car park, in the Piarco district and conducted a search of the area.

There, they discovered a white Toyota Axio motor vehicle, which was reported stolen on Monday 20th August, 2017 and a black Nissan Teana sedan, which was reported stolen on Tuesday 22nd August, 2017.

The officers then proceeded to Laventille Road, San Juan district, where they discovered a white Nissan station wagon, which was previously reported stolen.

All three vehicles bore false number plates.

WPC Tricia Pelhage and PC Leon Paul, both of the NDSIU, are continuing investigations.
