A Princes Town man is due to appear before a Princes Town Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Roshan Ramdial, which occurred on Thursday 19th April, 2018.
Aaron Balkaran aka ‘Chubby’, 25, a labourer, of Gunness Circular, Princes Town, was charged with murder, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, George Busby, on Wednesday 25th April, 2018.
Ramdial, 43, a labourer, of Reserve Road, Princes Town, was at a neighbour’s house for a birthday party on Wednesday 18th April, 2018, when he got into a dispute with a man known to him.
During the argument, the man struck the victim to the side of his face with a rum bottle.
Later that same day, the victim began complaining of pain and was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he was warded and eventually succumbed to his injuries on Thursday 19th April, 2018 at 10:15pm.
Investigations were supervised by Insp. (Ag.) Learie Figaro of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3, and Sgt. Roger Ramlogan, of Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department.
Balkaran was charged by Cpl. Donny Bridgemohan, also of the HBI Region 3.
