The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has discontinued the Riverine Flood Alert for Trinidad and Tobago, with regard to the recent rainfall event.

The Met Services says that information from the Water Resources Agency indicate that water levels in some of the nation’s rivers have receded.

Reports indicate that this morning some areas were still inundated, but with no significant rainfall expected over the next few days, these levels are expected to steadily recede.

The Met Services says it will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will inform the public in a timely manner, of any weather-related event which may adversely affect our islands.
