One shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were discovered by officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), during an anti-crime exercise in the Chaguanas district.
Acting on information, officers of the CDTF, proceeded to a house along Mulchan Seuchan Road, Chaguanas, where a search was conducted and one homemade shotgun loaded with one round of twelve gauge ammunition was found wrapped in a black plastic bag, in the vicinity of what is commonly referred, as the ‘abandoned twin towers’ near the Endeavour flyover.
The officers then journeyed to a bushy area off Lodge Road, Claxton Bay, where they discovered another black plastic bag, this time containing 30 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, at the base of a large tree.
The exercise, supervised by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Inraj Balram, took place from 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm on Wednesday 23rd May, 2018.
No arrest was made in connection with the find.
