Caught on Camera: Elderly driver slams through wall on Ariapita Avenue

Two elderly passengers were lucky to escape serious injuring after the vehicle one of them was driving, slammed through the wall of an establishment on Ariapita Avenue last night.

The immediate aftermath of the accident was captured by a passerby whose narration could be heard on the almost 3-minute video.

The couple received medical attention but did not suffer any significant injuries.

Police visited the scene and conducted inquiries. It is not clear what caused the driver to crash.

The video has only been altered to remove instances where obscene language has been used.

Murder on the Avenue; two others killed in Belmont, Malabar

Police are investigating three murders that occurred between last night and 9 am this morning, on Ariapita Avenue, Belmont and Malabar.

The incident on the Avenue occurred around 5.30am in front of the Domino's Pizza outlet.

The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old Isaiah Hospedales of Aranguez.

According to reports, an argument started in a nearby bar with the victim and another man.

SRP surrenders to police; positively identified in Ariapita Avenue stabbing incident

Two police officers have been positively identified during two separate identification parades in relation to a stabbing and firearm brandishing incidents.

A Special Reserve Officer attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch and Sergeant attached to the Professional Standards Bureau were pointed out during the parades held at the Central Police Station and the La Horquetta Police Station respectively.

The SRP surrendered to officers at the Woodbrook Police Station in relation a stabbing incident along Ariapita Avenue last Friday. 

Police seek SRP's assistance in helping solve this video of fracas outside Avenue nightclub

Police believe an SRP office attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch, can assist them in solving a video of a fracas outside a nightclub on Ariapita Avenue on Saturday night.

A man and a woman are now in hospital nursing stab wounds and other injuries following the fracas.

Police have told CNC3 that the SRP can give them information pertaining to this matter. 

The victims, one who is in a critical condition, have given statements to the police explaining how the entire situation developed and have also identified the alleged stabber.
