Dwight Yorke says he's got Sir Alex Ferguson's support for Aston Villa managerial job

Former national football captain, Dwight Yorke says he has the support of former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, as he moves to apply for the Aston Villa manager’s job.

The team is almost certainly being relegated to the Cahmpionship League next season with just 16 points from 32 games.

Nigel Pearson is the favourite to take over at Villa Park for next season, but Yorke, whose managerial experience extends to serving as Trinidad and Tobago assistant manager from 2009 to 2010, believes he should be given an opportunity.
