Australia thump West Indies for 438/3 on first day of Test down under

Adam Voges hit an unbeaten 174 and Shaun Marsh 139 not out as Australia amassed 438-3 on the opening day of the three-Test series against West Indies.

David Warner made a rapid 64 as Australia slipped to 121-3, but Voges and Marsh put on an unbroken 317, the second highest Test stand in Hobart.

Voges, whose century took 100 balls, hit 19 fours in his highest Test score.

West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican removed Warner and captain Steve Smith in claiming 2-111.

Children returned from T&T to Australia for court hearing after father applies to Hague Convention

The Single Fathers' Association is claiming victory following a court order that the children of a Trinidadian mother and Australian father be returned to Australia.

This follows a claim from the father that the children were removed from him and taken back to Trinidad and Tobago without his approval.

A statement from the Single Fathers' Association claims that Adam Lacey's children have been returned to Australia as he was awarded a return order that the mother of his children was made to comply with on the 16th of  November 2015.
