The bullet riddled bodies of two men have been found in Bagatelle, Diego Martin.
One man was found with gunshot wounds in the front seat of a Nissan Almera motor vehicle while the other was found on the ground a short distance away.
The men have only been identified by their aliases as "Foxy" and "Arindel".
Residents say they heard loud explosions around 11.50 pm.
Reports suggest that attempts may have been made to burn the vehicle.
Police are yet to determine a motive for the killings.
Police have recovered a sawed-off shotgun after acting on a tip received last night.
According to reports, officers of the Western Division Task Force acting upon information they received around 10:30 am Thursday and proceeded to Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin in an area commonly known as the "Pine".
A search of the area was conducted and the officers found buried under a tree, one homemade shotgun containing one round of 16 gauge cartridge.
No one was arrested.
