Princes Town Member of Parliament, Barry Padarath is denying claims made by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley that the Kamla Persad-Bissessar administration paid $350,000 to a caterer for roti for a Divali function.
Princes Town MP Barry Padarath has congratulated the police for their seizure of 6,800 bullets and five high-powered firearms in Piparo on Saturday.
The following is a statement issued by Padarath's office today.
"Princes Town MP, Barry Padarath congratulated the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service for their hard work and diligence in the seizure of 6,800 rounds of ammunition in Piparo, Princes Town.
Apart from Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar, two other Opposition UNC MPs had relatives employed at their respective constituency offices in this current parliamentary term, and a third UNC MP still has a “distant” relative employed.
They are Princes Town MP Barry Padarath, Caroni Central MP Dr Bhoe Tewarie and Mayaro MP Rushton Paray.
