Birmingham ISIS-accused tells British court of meeting women from Trinidad in Syria

A woman accused of going to Syria to join the so-called Islamic State group has told an English court she met women from Trinidad and Tobago at a house in Syria.

The 26-year-old, Tareena Shakil, flew to Turkey telling friends she was going on a beach holiday with a toddler, but ended up living in the IS capital of Raqqa.

After flying from her resort to Gaziantep on the Turkish border, she claimed a contact she met online arranged for her to be driven by cab to an apartment block full of other women of different nationalities.
