Three brothers held in police exercise

Early morning ‘Operation Strike Back’ exercises which were conducted in the Eastern Division, have resulted in the arrest of four persons, including three brothers and the seizure of a firearm and quantities of ammunition and marijuana.

The exercises were conducted in the early hours of Friday 12th October, 2018 in the Matura, Toco and Sangre Grande policing districts.

They were coordinated by Snr. Supt. Garth Nelson, supervised by ASP (Ag.) Gabriel Joseph and Insp. Ken Lutchman and included officers of the Eastern Division Task Force.

Brothers charged with Princes Town murder

A Princes Town man and his brother are jointly charged for the murder of Brent Richardson, which occurred on Sunday 28th January, 2018.

Oneil West, 29, a maintenance worker, of King Street, Princes Town, was charged with murder, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on Thursday 15th March, 2018.

He is expected to appear before Magistrate Michelle Maharajh-Brown, in the Princes Town 1st Magistrates’ Court today.

Brothers in court for murder

Two Barrackpore brothers appeared in the San Fernando 1st Magistrates’ Court today, charged with the murder of 52-year-old Deoraj ‘Bredo’ Bedassie.

Dennil Ramsawak, aka ‘Jason’, 30, of Tin Pan Alley Road, Barrackpore, and his brother, Derrick Ramsawak, 20, of the same address, stood before Magistrate Margaret Alert, to answer the charge.

Bedassie’s, skeletal remains were retrieved from a latrine pit behind his home at Blackman Street, Reform, Gasparillo.

The victim is believed to have been killed sometime between Sunday 26th March and Tuesday 4th April, 2017.

Brothers charged with murder

Brothers Adam Pamponette, 18, and Joseph Pamponette, 24, have been charged with the murder of Jelani Guada, a statement by the Police Service says.

The men of 1½ mile mark Valencia Old Road, Valencia appeared before Senior Magistrate Debra Quintyne at the 1st Magistrates Court in Sangre Grande, on Wednesday.

Guada, 24, died after being shot multiple times about the body at his home in Valencia on Saturday 3rd December, 2016.
