EMA: Dye spilled accidentally into river

The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) has identified the cause of the Carli Bay river turning green.

A statement from the EMA says it was caused by an accidental spill of dye.

"The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) has been notified by Piranha International Limited that at approximately 7pm on Monday 5th December, 2016, there was an accidental spill of approximately 15 gallons of non-toxic tracer dye at its facility located in Couva.
