A Trincity man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate on Monday 18th June, 2018, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Jamal Walcott, aka ‘Hot Dog’, a 23-year-old of West Dinsley Gardens, Trincity, was arrested by officers of the Northern Division Task Force Area Central, during an anti-crime exercise in the Arouca district on Tuesday 13th June, 2018.
The exercise took place between 12:00pm and 6:00pm, and was supervised by ASP (Ag.) Mervin Edwards and Sgt. Ishmael Pitt.
A Rio Claro man, accused of fraudulently receiving money to secure jobs for persons, is expected to appear before a Rio Claro Magistrate, charged with nine counts of larceny trick amounting to $32,500.
Anton Brooks, 37, a labourer of the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT), was arrested and charged by PC Raymond Mendoza, of the Biche Police Station, on Tuesday 29th May, 2018, after enquiries into the allegations.
A man who breached the perimeter fence at the Piarco International Airport last night has been arrested after being intercepted by security officers attached to the Airports Authority.
He has been identified as David Ector Err of Carapo.
He was detained in the vicinity of Gate 14 on the tarmac of the airport.
Officer spotted the man on the tarmac around 9.45 pm.
Four men are expected to appear before a San Fernando Magistrate today charged with breaking into the San Fernando Church of the Nazarene.
The suspects were arrested by officers of the Mon Repos, shortly after the alleged incident.
Officers of the Fraud Squad were conducting enquiries in the San Fernando area around 11.30 am when they observed a group of men descending the staircase of the church with electronic items.
The items were then loaded into a white Nissan Wingroad, parked along Circular Road.
A Valencia man is set to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate today, charged with the kidnapping of a minor and assault against the victim’s mother.
Jason Garraway, 41, of Valencia Road, Valencia, was arrested by officers of the Sangre Grande Police Station on Saturday 14th April, 2018, the same date of the alleged incident.
The victim’s aunt reported to police that the child was taken from her by a man known to the family following a physical altercation with the victim’s mother.
A Freeport woman is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate, charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
The woman was charged by officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), during an anti-crime exercise in the Freeport district, yesterday.
The exercise which took place between 10 pm on Monday 9th April, 2018, and 3 am on Tuesday 10th April, 2018, was supervised by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Inraj Balram and ASP (Ag.) Richard Smith and included officers of the CDTF.
The 28-year-old Petit Valley contract sanitation worker assigned to the Port of Spain City Corporation, who claimed he was threatened at gunpoint to dump garbage on the streets of east Port of Spain during protests earlier this week, was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 by a Justice of the Peace on Thursday.
Lance Cupidore, of Cameron Road, appeared in the Port of Spain Second Court yesterday on two charges of wilfully obstructing the free passage of a road and littering.

At about 6 am today, officers led by acting Deputy Police Commissioner Harold Phillip went to Ramlogan's Palmiste Park home where they informed him he was under arrest for two offences.

A Carenage man has appeared before an Arima Magistrate, charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, after he attempted to board a flight to Barbados, with the drug concealed in his luggage.
Marlon John, 40, a promoter, of Upper L’anse Mitan Road, Carenage, was at the Piarco International Airport around 5:10 pm on Saturday 20th May, 2017, preparing to board a flight to Barbados, when he was stopped at a security checkpoint.
The suspect’s luggage was checked and two packages containing 4.18 kilogrammes of cocaine were allegedly found concealed inside.
