Tortuga man arrested with drugs, ammo in Gran Couva

One man was arrested and quantities of marijuana and ammunition seized, by officers of the Gran Couva Police Station, during a road block exercise in the district, last night.

Officers conducted the exercise between 6:00pm and 10:00pm, at Indian Trail, Gran Couva, on Thursday 7th September, 2017, during which they had cause to stop and search a silver Nissan AD Wagon, being driven by a 32-year-old man of Gordon Village, Tortuga.

A search of the vehicle resulted in 1100 grammes of compressed marijuana being discovered.

Four men arrested during police exercise

Four men, four firearms and quantities of ammunition and marijuana were discovered following a police exercise in Morvant yesterday.

Officers, acting on information received, first proceeded to Chinapoo, Morvant, where they conducted a search of an abandoned lot of land.

At that location, they found one tanfoglio pistol and a revolver, along with two magazines, containing three rounds of 9mm ammunition.

A 25-year-old man of Morne Coco road, Maraval, was arrested in connection with the find.

Ammunition, drugs found in Blanchissuese, Morvant

Two guns and quantities of ammunition and narcotics were found in the Blanchisseuse and Morvant districts, during an anti-crime exercise, conducted by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force, yesterday.

The exercise, which commenced at 1pm on Tuesday 6th June, 2017 and ended at 10:30am on Wednesday 7th June, 2017, was coordinated by ACP Surajdeen Persad, supervised by Snr. Supt. Surrendra Sagramsingh and involved officers of the Morvant Police Station, CID, Maracas Bay and Blanchisseuse Coastal Patrol and Canine Branch.

Police seize drugs and guns

Police have recovered 21 kilogrammes of marijuana and 14 trap guns in east Trinidad.

The seizure was made during an exercise conducted by officers of the Sangre Grande CID, task force, Toco and Matelot police station.

CNC3 News understands around 3 am on Thursday police stopped a vehicle, at the corner of Toco Road and the Valencia old road.

After searching the car, 7.1 kilogrammes of marijuana was found and two men, ages 22 and 56 years old were arrested.

270 rounds of ammunition, cocaine found on roof of Nelson Street apartment

Over 270 rounds of assorted ammunition and a quantity of cocaine were seized by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force Strike Team during an anti-crime exercise in the Port of Spain district.

The exercise was carried out between 6 am and 11:30 am on Wednesday 26th April, 2017, at the Nelson Street Plannings, Port of Spain.

Uzi gun, drugs seized in Morvant, Los Iros

An Uzi sub-machine gun and quantities of ammunition and drugs were found by officers of the North Eastern Division during anticrime exercises, in the Los Iros and Morvant areas, a statement by the police said.

The officers under Sgt. (Ag.), Simeon Guelmo and supervised by Supt. (Ag.), Neville Adams, acting on information received first went to a busy area at Los Iros Road, Los Iros, on Tuesday 25th April, 2017, where a search was carried out.

During the search, they found 2.4 kilogrammes of marijuana with a street value of $31,200, hidden near a tree stump.

Gun, ammunition, drugs found in anti-crime exercises

A gun and quantities of ammunition and drugs have been found, during anti-crime exercises in the Laventille and Port of Spain areas, a police statement said.

Officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force, along with officers of the Besson Street, CID and Canine Unit, conducted the exercises, between 6 am and 9:45 am, on Friday 21st April, 2017, at Mulrain Trace, Laventille.

A search of several abandoned lots in the area was conducted, resulting in the discovery of one Beretta pistol, along with a quantity of .9mm ammunition.

Two held with drugs, gun, ammunition after running stopped light

Police have arrested and charged two men for narcotics, weapon possession and ammunition offences after they ran a stop light.

Around 3 am on Friday 21st April, 2017, whilst on mobile patrol, officers attached to the Penal Police Station under Cpls Andrews and Ramlal, observed a silver Nissan Tiida breaching a traffic light along the S.S Erin Road, Penal.

The officers caused the vehicle to come to a stop and observed the two male occupants behaving suspiciously.
