Police are asking members of the public for their assistance in identifying a man whose bullet-riddled body was discovered Tuesday evening in Fyzabad.
According to reports, the body was discovered around 3 pm near one of Petrotrin’s oil wells near Forest Reserve Road, Fyzabad.
The body appeared to be that of an East-Indian male in his 60s and had been shot at least twice.
A shotgun was also allegedly found next to the body of the deceased.
28-year-old Denise Martin who was shot in her head at her boyfriend's house in Fyzabad last Thursday, has died at hospital.
She was surrounded by family members at the San Fernando General Hospital when she died at 9.20 pm yesterday.
Martin, a mother of one from South Oropouche, had been warded in a critical condition and never regained consciousness.
Her boyfriend, 30-year-old Shamshudeen Mohammed was shot in his leg, is warded in a stable condition at hospital.
A 27-year old woman was shot in the head early Thursday morning at a house in Fyzabad and is in critical condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
The woman's boyfriend, Shamsudeen Mohammed was also shot in the leg.
The shooting occurred around 2 am but police have no motive at this time.
Mohammed is in stable condition at hospital.
Two burnt bodies have been discovered in a vehicle in Fyzabad.
They have been identified as secondary school teacher Ardia Yearwood-Marchan, and her husband Peter.
Police received a call that a pickup truck was on fire at Forest Reserve Road around 7pm Wednesday.
The burnt bodies were found inside.
Police are continuing investigations
