The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 15-year-old Christina Ramnarine.
Christina a pupil of the Couva West Secondary School, was last seen leaving her Junon Street East, California home, around 8:30 am on Wednesday, May 1st.
She was reported missing to the Couva Police Station, around 6:00 pm, on that same date, by her mother.
Christina is of East Indian descent, 5 feet 1 inch tall and slim built with a brown complexion and long black hair.
No pay, no water.
If consumers don't pay their water rate bill they'll be disconnected, says Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte.
Le Hunte gave this response to reporters in Parliament yesterday after United National Congress activist Devant Maharaj called for people who do not get water to boycott paying their water rate bills.
Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 66-year-old Samdeo Ramdial.
Ramdial, of Vega de Oropouche, Sangre Grande, was last seen dropping his wife off at the Sangre Grande market at 3 am on Saturday 27th April, 2019.
He was reported missing to the Sangre Grande Police Station on Monday.
Ramdial is of East Indian descent, 5 feet 6 inches tall, slim built, with a dark brown complexion.
He was last seen wearing a green shirt and a pair of brown 3/4 pants.
Chief executive officer of the Water and Sewage Authority (WASA) Allan Poon King is urging customers to brace themselves for more water restrictions if the dry season continues and water restrictions will remain in effect.
Already there are water schedules in parts of Trinidad and if the harsh dry season continues then Poon King said the authority will be forced to schedule pipe borne water to two days in some areas.
Poon King was speaking to the media at a tour of the at Hollis Reservoir, Valencia yesterday.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Caroni Water Treatment plant, that there would be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Wednesday 1st May 2019, between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.
WASA says this has become necessary in order to facilitate repairs to a defective valve off the Caroni South Trunk Transmission System, located along the Caroni South Bank Road, Kelly Village.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is reminding the public that the ongoing harsh dry conditions have significantly impacted water production at several of the authority’s water treatment plants throughout the country, which has resulted in a deficit of approximately 30 million gallons per day in water availability for distribution.
The statement comes as residents and business owners in parts of central and south Trinidad complained publicly about how the lack of water has been impacting their lives and businesses.
The Airports Authority (AATT) has announced that the Piarco International Airport has topped the region as the Best Airport in the Caribbean, as declared by the Skytrax 2019 World Airport Awards.
A statement by the AATT said that this is a significant achievement as there is a marked improvement from the 2018 ranking.
The Piarco International Airport has this year bypassed the Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica, and the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados, to cop first place.
The Ministry of Works and Transport has advised that authorization has been granted to light motor vehicles, to utilise the Priority Bus Route (PBR) from Mt Hope to Macoya, from 5 am on Friday 19th April, 2019 to 7pm on Monday 22nd April, 2019.
This has become necessary as major construction works will be ongoing along the eastbound lanes of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in the vicinity of Curepe Intersection, during this period.
The TTPS wishes to advise members of the public that on Friday 5th April 2019, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. parking will be prohibited on Edward Street, between Duke and Treasury Street, Port of Spain.
