Lopinot murder caught on camera

The fatal shooting of 33-year-old businessman Quincy Gill was caught on camera.

Gill, of Bregon Park, D'abadie was shot around 6:45 am when he turned up at his Lopinot Junction business place.

He eventually died at hospital.

Anyone who can identify the shooter should contact the police.

Man shot in Lopinot

A 33-year-old man is currently warded at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex following a shooting incident this morning.

Reports indicate that around 6:45 am, the victim arrived at his business place at Lopinot Junction, Arouca, when he was accosted by an armed assailant. 

There was an altercation and the assailant subsequnelty shot the man before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police were contacted and the wounded man taken to hospital where he is said the be in a critical condition.
 

 

Curepe casino shooting suspect appears in court

A Laventille man has appeared before a Tunapuna Magistrate charged in connection with a shooting incident, at a casino in Curepe, which was captured on CCTV and later circulated on social media.

The incident occurred on Saturday 2nd June, 2018, and left two security guards wounded.

Aaron Lightbourne, 27, of Mc Shine Lands, Laventille, was granted $350,000 bail by Senior Magistrate Indrani Cedeno when he appeared before the Tunapuna 1st Magistrates’ Court on Friday 8th June, 2018, on nine charges, including two counts of shooting with intent.

International: 'Multiple fatalities' in Texas High School shooting incident

Multiple people have been reported killed, and others were injured, in a shooting on Friday morning at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Tex., according to local officials.

A suspect was in custody and another man has been detained.

At least three fatalities were confirmed by Mark Henry, the Galveston County judge, the county’s top elected official.

However, several reports indicate "multiple fatalities" as law enforcement agencies are processing the crime scene.

CNN has reported that at least 8 people were killed.

Investigation launched into shooting incident involving two police officers

Acting police commissioner Stephen Williams has ordered an investigation into a shooting incident between two senior ranking police officers.

CNC3 news understands that around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, both officers, a corporal and a sergeant, were in the vicinity of Ruby Tuesday at the Grand Bazaar mall in Valsayn when it is reported they got into an altercation.

During the fracas, it is reported that both men drew their firearm and shot at each other.

Man found shot dead in Cunupia

The body of a man bearing gunshot wounds has been discovered in Cunupia.

Shortly after 8pm yesterday police responded to reports of what appeared to be an abandoned motor car at Gillis Trace, Mon Plasir.

Upon inspection, officers discovered the lifeless body of a man in the front seat of the car. 

He was shot several times about the body.investigations are ongoing.

Police shoot mentally-challenged man in La Romain following distress call

A 26-year-old man has been fatally shot by police after he allegedly attacked officers with a knife.

Shortly after 7 pm on Tuesday, officers of the San Fernando Police Station responded to a distress call.

Upon arrival to a home in La Romain, officers were informed that a man was allegedly physically assaulting his mother.

Social media shares photo of man shot dead by police in Barataria

A photo of one of two men shot dead by police on Barataria last night, is now circulating online, showing one of the men holding two guns.

The photo shows Obika Roberts of 6th Avenue, Malick, Barataria, holding what appears to be high-powered rifles.

Roberts was shot dead but police after police claim he and his accomplice opened fire on them while they were attempting to execute and arrest.

Roberts was wanted for murder, possession of firearms and ammunition.
