The latest update from the Ministry of Health is confirming 10 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 730 patients.

This latest statistic marks a further reduction in the number of active cases nationally, as the figure for yesterday (Thursday) stood at 743 patients.

However, the health ministry explains that the number of positive cases reported reflects the samples taken during the period Tuesday 1st to Thursday 3rd December 2020, and not the last 24 hours.

However, it does point out that some 186 persons in the prison system currently are receiving treatment for COVID-19.

● 42 persons are still hospitalised for COVID-19; down from 43 patients on Thursday.

● 656 persons are in home self-isolation; down from 657 patients on Thursday. The ministry notes that of the 656 persons in home self-isolation, 186 are in the care of the prison system.
