15 people test COVID positive in Tobago, no new deaths

No new deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the island’s death toll remains at 258 lives lost.

That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Wednesday 30 March 2022.

The most recent death on the island was recorded on Monday 28 March 2022, with the deceased noted as one (1) unvaccinated person.

In addition, 15 people in Tobago have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, with these new infections moving the number of current active infections on the island to 415.

The Health Division also is reporting that 16 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19.  Thirteen (13) of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while the other three (3) have been fully vaccinated.

The Tobago COVID-19 update for 30th March 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,449.
