Sixteen more people have lost their lives to COVID-19, bringing the national total up to 791 lives lost, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health.

In its update for today, Friday 25 June 2021, the Ministry also is confirming 346 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 7,613 patients.

However, the Ministry’s update shows a trend of decreases in the number of persons hospitalised, recovering in step-down facilities, as well as in quarantine (whether State or home isolation).  This seems to indicate that more people are surviving their infections with COVID-19.
