17 new COVID cases in Tobago, no new deaths

There are 17 additional COVID-19 cases in Tobago, bringing the island’s current active infections to 271, according to the update for Sunday 20th February 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).

There are 17 additional COVID-19 cases in Tobago, bringing the island’s current active infections to 271, according to the update for Sunday 20th February 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA). 

In addition, the Division is confirming there are no new COVID-19 deaths in Tobago over the past 24 hours, which means the total number of deaths on the island remains at 240. The last time a COVID-19 death was reported in Tobago was on Friday February 18th.

Currently, 14 people are hospitalised with COVID-19, nine of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while four persons have been fully vaccinated, and one person is partially vaccinated.

The Division’s update also reports that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, is now 6,526.
