It’s official… the 2020 Dry Season is on its way!

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) says there is evidence to suggest that the region has transitioned to a drier state.

Forecasters say overall, a near normal dry season is forecast, with near average rainfall totals during January through March, while slightly wetter than average conditions are forecast for April through May.

The TTMS is expecting February and March to be the driest months, with one or two short hot spells between March to May 2020.

According to the Met Services, 2019 was the ninth driest Wet Season in 74 years in Trinidad and Tobago, and the third driest year on record, since observations began in 1946 at Piarco.
