25 more people test COVID positive in Tobago

There are 25 new COVID-19 positive people in Tobago, bringing the number of current active infections on the island to 446. No new deaths have been reported.

There are 25 new COVID-19 positive people in Tobago, according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for Saturday 19th March 2022.  These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 446.

The Division also is reporting that there have been no new deaths from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the total number of deaths on the island remains at 248.  The last death from COVID-19 recorded in Tobago was on Thursday March 17th—an unvaccinated person.

Currently, 18 people are hospitalised with COVID-19, 13 of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while five (5) people have been fully vaccinated.

The Division’s update also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,037.
