The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confirmed that three men have been arrested and charged under the Anti-Gang Act No. 1 of 2018.

An official statement from the TTPS reports that 27-year-old KESTON HALL, and 26-year-old SURESH MAHARAJ, both of Balandra, were arrested and charged with supporting a gang. 30-year-old DAINEAM SCHNEIDER of Cedros, was arrested and charged with being a gang leader, under the Anti-Gang Act.

The men were held during a simultaneous anti-crime exercise conducted throughout Trinidad by the Northern Division Gang Unit and officers of Northern Division, on Tuesday 6th October 2020.

The three suspects also were charged with trafficking in marijuana.

The three men were initially arrested and charged with possession of marijuana for trafficking on 12th September 2019 in Arouca. On that date, officers of the Northern Division Gang Unit had intercepted a vehicle with three male occupants. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found 16.1 kilogrammes of marijuana.
