56 new COVID cases recorded in Tobago, no new deaths

Fifty-six (56) more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago, according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for Monday 14th March 2022. These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 425.

Fifty-six (56) more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago, according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for Monday 14th March 2022.  These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 425.

The Division also is reporting that there have been no new deaths from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the total number of deaths on the island remains at 247.  The last death from COVID-19 recorded in Tobago was on Saturday March 12th—an unvaccinated person.

Currently, 16 people are hospitalised with COVID-19, 13 of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while three (3) people have been fully vaccinated.

The Division’s update also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 6,943.
